Seat Belts
Seat Belts
i was wondering if anyone knew how to replace the belts on a seat belt... not the whole component but the belt itself the part that wraps your body... that and the clips... so i can just replace the belts and not the whole damn unit... thanks

I'm pretty sure its only sold as a whole unit with the spindle, etc.... for safety reasons. The webbing is stitched around the tensioner.

what are you wanting to do???
if there are any probs, just take it to the stealership, and they'll fix it for free. They have this safety clause for the life of every Honda vehicle.

well i wanted to change out the belts on the driver and passenger side to different colours but if they have a safety clause then they should definitely replace the driver side because the stitching is coming apart.. and it isn't my fault... think they would change the colours for me? nominal fee of course...

the belts come in two parts, the belt buckle tensioner and then the actual seat belt with the actuator, removal of any of these components is gonna set off your SRS light
well i disabled the damn light and the beeping noise so that shouldn't be a problem... it annoyed me...
no that light just always came on when i'd get in the car and turn the key and then it would beep three times to remind me to put my seat belt on... it bugged the hell out of me... besides it's an 86 the damn thing doesn't have power anything... no power lock, power windows, hell not even power steering... i doubt my car would even have a seat belt sensor...
yeah i wear my seat belt but it doesn't have a sensor to tell whether or not i'm buckled in or not... my car is too old... that sensor didn't exist yet... hahaha and no the sensor didn't go off all the time just when i started the car... i'd turn the key and three beeps and a flashing seatbelted person... it was just the reminder to put my seatbelt on... but i put my on all the time because of the way i drive... that and everyone else on the roads in my City are idiots so i know i have to stay strapped in when i'm weaving through traffic
