speaking from experience..

pop you hood... and look right below your power steering.. its just to the left of the brake booster...

honda dealer says its like 3 hours... but i did mine in 2.. its a bitch and realigning the bolt that it holds the alternator is hard too..

good luck the alternator runs around 270 ( i paid 250 for mine ) but good luck and i hope that helps ..

im on a gov't computer( im at work ) and i cant look at any pics..

If you can't find it just by looking at your engine, then I suggest you not mess around with it without some research first. It can get real nasty real quick if you don't know what you're doing. Good luck.

Um, yeah. That's the power steering pump. The alternator is located under that. If you can't point out the right part, then I suggest you not belittle the person asking the question....just kidding. Alternators are a pain to replace, although pretty straightforward. When I put on my alternator pulley, it took a little while. Basically remove the PS pump (circled above), take off alt wire, loosen adjusting bolt (wing nut), remove 2 bolts and there is your alternator. The bolts are easy to reach from under the car, I think we took off my driver's side tire for access.

^^^ LOL. This would have been followed by, "Why is my alternator leaking fluid now that I've taken it out?" Too funny.

If you're going to spend that kind of money on a new alternator and you like big amps and loud music, why not get a high output one? Check out 7th gen member Honda Inspired's DIY Here. It covers a HO alternator install but can be used for a general how-to as well. I saved it and stuck it in my DIY folder.

Lol. My bad. I think he knows the difference between the power steering pump and an alternator. I didn't think i'd have to point that part out. Anyways, yeah it's right beneath that. Hope you didn't take out the PS pump.
