My gf has an 03 Civic LX. I think the motor is a d16a?????? Any suggestions on how to get more HP. She wants to turbo it b/c that is obviously the most common way to gain extra HP. I am not opposed to this, just don't know how to go about it. Any suggestions????

Does she have any mods at all right now? I don't think turboing a car is a good place to start.

All she has is an intake she wants to have at least 200HP if you know of something other then a turbo that can add about 90 HP to the wheels let me know!!!

Are you sure its a D16 im pretty sure its a D17A1 I have an 01' and mines a D17 and 01-03 are basicaly the same

i think you're right.. the 02 that i was looking at had the d17.. too bad the car wasn't worth enough to cover the negative equity of my mazda...

If your gonna go turbo since its an LX id first do an EX head swap and get a VAFC 2 so you dont need the Ex's ECU. Reason for doing this is so you can have VTEC and still keep the low compression of the LX thus being able to run more boost than an Ex could. Then id hook that up with some stage 2 camshafts and valve train upgrade. Then hook it up with the turbo kit, unless she wants to run alot of boost then i'd beef up internals first but if she's fine with 6psi or so then she's set. Anyone have anything else to add??

Thanks so much for all the posts. She wants to run at least 12lbs. She has a real need for speed we are going to get two bike in August for my birthday. If anyone has anymore suggestions please let me know and if you know where I can get some parts please let me know.

OK so I have called a couple head shops and I need the casting number off of the head. Only problem is I don't have a head from an 03 civic ex vtec. Could somone please help me out with the casting number?

D17A2 is the number off of the head
