Skunk 2 Throttle Body

I installed a Skunk 2 60mm throttle body today on my 98 ex 5spd. Now, my car is idling at about 1,200 rpm (it was at @700), the rpms drop SLOWLY when I let off the gas, and occasionally when I go past about 2500 rpm it will get stuck there until I put my foot under the gas pedal and pull it back up. I did notice, however, that the metal part that the TPS plugs into on the skunk 2 unit was in a different position than the one on the stock t/b (the piece on the inside that attaches to the other metal piece, the second metal piece being the one that you attach the throttle cable to..but I assumed this was normal...have tried adjusting the idle screw some, as well as resetting the ECU (I was told by a friend that this is done by disconnecting the battery and waiting 5 mins, then plugging it back up; the ECU is then supposed to "adjust itself" to the new idle position)....I'd really like to get this taken care of. The car is still drivable, and other than those problems I'm pretty pleased with the t/b. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

sounds to me like the throttle return spring isn't set up right.. once that is fixed, it will fix the throttle sticking.. also make sure you didn't over tighten the screws when atatching the throttle cable.. that will fix everything but the high idle.. adjusting the screw will help some but that may be a tps problem.. contakt skunk 2 and assure that this tb is made for your year and engine application.. if not, buying the appropriate tps (from the car the tb was meant for) will probably help
