does synthetic oil has expiration date? i.e. can you use oil a few yr. old
the guy who change the oil for me told me today that after 1 to 2 yr., the inside changes, so if I have left over synthetic oil, I should throw them away.
So far, I check the label / print on the oil bottle, there is no expiration day of any kind

JMO It's still sealed and brand new, I'd use it even if it's aged

it's not new. It's those 5.4 L size, and I only need say 4 L, so there is some left over. And my problem is, they are different brand. So I don't know if I should mix Castrol Synthetic, w/ Pennsoil, etc, so I have a few bottle of different brand name all sitting around. So they are about a few yr. old, although some are from last year and some the yr. before

If you don't want to put it in your own car........Maybe use it in your lawnmower when it needs its oil changed? (or any other gas engine)
or maybe if you know someone with an older car that uses a lot of oil, let them have it?
