Oil for Honda Civic Hybrid 2011
hi. can i use 5w30 for my honda civic hybrid 2011,115k miles.i have that oil< that is why i dont want to buy a 0w20. Is it good decision?

I wouldn't. ..
The cap says 0w20 for a reason
5w30 doesn't meet specs
average 5w30 is lower quality oil that should be changed at 3000 miles
You will lose some gas mileage....(though some drivers wouldn't ever notice)
In the bitter cold....0w20 flows better, allows easier starting (especially when it's so damn cold that hybrid has to use its 12v starter)
You can pour whatever you want in it though, you own the car.
The price difference per quart is insignificant if you consider how long it should last..
We can do some math if you want too....
Save 5w30 for a lawnmower or some car that actually requires it....or some car you don't care about.
