First Major Problem
Okay guys, I drive an 03 Civic coupe. Had it since it was new with 150 miles, now it has 75,000 miles. A week ago, my AC stopped working. No air even blows out. I checked the fuses under the hood and everything looked fine. Yesterday I had to jumpstart the car two times. Each time I try to start the car after shutting it off, the battery is dead.
My question is, do you think the AC/Fan problem is related to my battery somehow? I'm going to go to AutoZone tomorrow to see if they can check my battery.
I forgot to mention that when I try to turn the AC on, it sounds like it is trying to turn on for like 3 seconds but not enough to have air coming out, then it shuts off.

Re: First Major Problem
Could be two things. First it might be your alternator. If the battery keeps on dieing then that probably means the battery isn't being charged as the car is being driven. The second could be the battery it self. Sometimes when batteries go past a certain age, they don't hold charge for very long. Auto zone can actually check your battery and tell if the battery is ok. Also Check your battery cables. If they are corded or doesn't have good connection that could be a problem too. Not really sure about your a/c problem. Maybe someone else can Chaim in and give their 2 cents.
Re: First Major Problem
go to a shop that fixes acs around where you live at and get them to check your ac filter and see if it is good. then while you are there see how much freeon that you have in your ac lines it might need a recharge.or get them to check the box for your ac around your radio it might be bad. if you lived around me i have a extra one so you could have tried. and the car dieing thing all you have to do to check to see if it is the battery or altinator is jump of your car, leave it running, dissconnect the positive side of the battery connection and hold it from touching the battery post for 5 minutes and if the car is still running that means the battery had a dead cell and is no more good. but if you would have followed the steps again disconnecting the battery and the car dies it means the alternator is bad. try some of my ideas and keep me posted.

Re: First Major Problem
most likely the blower motor and another problem, maybe the belt is loose that goes around the a/c. check alternator too.
