93 Civic Issues

I have a 93 civic. with a d15b7 motor in it and a 4 speed tranny. I picked the car up for $100 cause it had a bad headgasket. (I actually drove it home)..

Got it all back together and having some issues.

#1 does anyone have a "how-to" on the strut mounts....either I did these completely wrong or all four are shot (struts and sticking up)

#2 Is the tranny a sealed tranny? I know it has to be low since the entire motor and trans was pulled out but for the life of me i cannot find the damn dipstick. I did find a black cap on the tranny that when you pulled it up there seemed to be a hole leading down.(which is why i assumed sealed tranny) I can take a pic of that if need be

#3 The real big issue. the car itself runs like ***. sitting there ideling..anything under 3k rpms and it just sounds and runs like crap...after 3k it is fine. (mind you it hasn't been on the road yet..because problem #2) also i will sit there in my driveway and let the motor warm up and actually run...it runs like above till it gets fully warmed up...then if you keep holding the gas it is fine....the second you let off the gas it dies...now the odd part....turn the key (and you have to floor it) and it will start up...with the gas pedal all the way to the floor...it is barely running (like 100-200 rpms) i am thinking something like TPS but wanted to get some heads up first..

Thanks
-Steven

Re: 93 Civic Issues

As far as the tranny is concerned, I'm almost positive it is sealed. If it's manual 4spd, then it's most definatley a sealed tranny. The other problems, could be a number of things. If the head gaskets bad you could be leaking antifreeze into the head and it would be mixing with the oil. That is not good. The car is a 92? It's old man. There could be a whole mess of problems. The car dying could be due to lack of fuel from poor injectors or as simple as a bad vacuum line. Time to pick it apart if you only bought it for 100 bucks.
