I know theres others like it, but I want to know what your average fuel economy is. I'm getting about 8.8L/100 km for about 75% city now that its gotten alittle colder up here.

Re: Average fuel economy

01 lx 5-speed

if im beating my car the whole time worst i got was 25mpg
spirited driving i get 27-28
casual driving i get 29-30
most i ever saw was 31 all city/suburbs

havent done enough highway yet to know the figure, but between city and highway, ive gotten 34-35 with spirited/casual driving

i want to drive one tank very casual, not in a hurry to get anywhere and see what I get...

Companies use a different blend of gasoline in the winter.

Re: Average fuel economy

The colder it is your car also has to run richer for longer during the warm-up process from a cold start.

I don't know what that is in MPG but I am sure I get worse mileage than you do now. I get 26 mpg highway only and about 18 mpg when driving spirited

In my 02 EX Coupe I got a very consistent 34.4 mpg with combined highway / city driving.

Re: Average fuel economy

all you guys that get crappy mileage in the winter, switch to a 0w20 oil and you'll get better mileage.

Re: Average fuel economy

yeaq in the winter, car takes much longer to warm up, and before that happens the engine isnt running as efficiently. plus oil is too thick like someone said from the cold.
