Rep Power: 221 I use bosch too. I have not tried icons yet but micro edge's are great. Bosch is a little more $ than some of the others but windshield wipers are important so its worth a little extra.

Rep Power: 322 I can tell you do NOT get Tripleedge wiper blades made by Jamak. They suck horribly. I've just been using cheap Michelin wiper blades, they work great for about 8 months or so.

I will never go back to traditional style wiper blades which have the metal arms extending out to the edge of the blade.
For the past 6 months i've been using some wipers i got from pep boys which are very similar to the bosch icon's. They were about $12 each, and worth every single penny.
With traditional wiper blades, i would get streaking and just a very inconsistent wipe. With these new style blades which just have the one main bracket in the middle, everything is great.

I jsut bought some PIAA wipers and they are pretty sick. They come with a window treatment and are silicon coated. When the silicon coats your windshield it allows for raindrops to bead and at over 60mph they fly off without wiping. Pretty hot. They are pricey though but they are supposed to last atleast 12 months. 40 bucks though, and once u have the wipers u can keep putting piaa blades in.

Putting liquid glass on your windshield will do the same thing, i've driven in hard rainstorms and not needed my wiper blades. The only reason i do that is because i also use liquid glass to wax my car. not sure it's worth the $20 bottle just for windshield treatment

My '06 civic had those, they where nice, but started streaking after about 10,000 miles.

could possibly be caused by wax build-up, not sure. every month or two ill go and clean the rubber with one of those alcohol pads that they use on your skin before an injection. probably dries the rubber out a bit, but it makes them wipe like new again

Rep Power: 265 I've always just gotten the cheap ones, which work fine for at least six months. This thread has inspired me to try bosch next time.

Rep Power: 787 im gonna say alcohol is bad idea because it does dry out the rubber and cause them to crack. this happened to my oem ones after cleaning 5-6 times. you could just use mild soap solution, and rub them with a cloth. keep your window clean. use no touch auto glass stripper followed by some kind of filler/repelent. rain-x is said to eat rubber, but i havent noticed. wipers work alot better on a slick surface, and if youre going fast enough the water just blows right off. if you dont like rainx for some reason, there is diamondite spray sealer but its $20 for a 5oz can. not worth it imo.

lol you must have gotten a bad set.....don't they have the warranty? I have them on my civic and my wife's corolla....NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.....
Florida rain with Florida heat.....wipes like the retarded kid cleaning the grill at McDonald's....I just wipe them down about once a month with some washer fluid they chatter once then they wipe smooth again....
