Rep Power: 0 Oil add FAQ's
Why do oils need additives? Most oils today have good additive packs in them, but they tend to burn off after 1000-2000 miles.
What should an oil additive do? #1 is to be an antioxidant. Reason oils need changed is because they become oxidized turn black and are no good. Keep oxidation under control and run oil longer while also replenishing additive packs. #2 keep gum, carbon , and varnish away. Dissolve any carbon/varnish currently in system. Do no break up carbon into chunks.
Please feel free to ask more and I'll answer best I can.
