Hey Wes, where exactly are you in Florida?
Me and one of my boys are planning to take a half day off of work next Friday to drive out to Orlando.
I'm having alot of second thoughts. 11hr drive?........800 miles?......in my car?.......two nights in a hotel?.......for a one day show? I'm thinkin hard right now. But, I could go check out some fine hunnies, and some hooked up 7th gens, holla at Wes, and stop by Pearl's house on the way back to check out his ride. LOL I dunno, I still got 10 more days to decide.

oh by the way...AEM ive driven to Miami from where i am..that drive $ucks in ways i cant explain!! not tryin to discourage but the drive $ucks....but i would do it to goto the show and see JW and all if i had the time off...i would do it..if i had a friend or was rollin caravan style

Sunday, I washed my car. Then it rained Sunday afternoon, and when it stopped, I dried my car off. Then I drove across town, and it was pooring down!! Then it rained yesterday, and my car was filthy.(according to me) So this morning, before I went to work(at 6:00), I went outside and wiped down my rims. I didn't even touch the car, I just made sure my rims were blingin. What a dumba$$ huh?
Anyway, about the HP header. I think there was one little design flaw that required some modification upon installation. The only car that didn't require modification was the EX Automatic. With all other models, you have to cut a small notch in either the engine mount or the cross member. If I were you, I'd try to contact HP or an HP dealer and ask them if this problem has been fixed. Unless you have an auto, then you should be ok. Oh, and don't forget to get the high flow cat too.

Here's some more pics of my car. That web page is a bit out of date though. Since then I've cleared the headlights, taken the streetglow off(hit a racoon), and I blew my two 10's, so I took my trunk setup out and put my two 12's back in.

Rep Power: 0 Hey, whats up AEM, pearl, and JW. I know i could probably post this question in amother forum, but I'm thinkin, what they hell, ya'll may know better anyway. I was wondering what the best material to make a sub box out of. I was reading a little article and they suggested using medium density or high density particleboard. I was wondering if something like oak, some other hard wood, or even a composite material might be better. Holla back at me if you got any ideas. By the way, I want to get some pictures of my 2k1 online, but I got to find somebody with a digital camera. Anyway, I haven't done much to my car...yet. Just a OEM spoiler, nosemask, and bodyside modling. the next thing I want to do is put a 10" Thunder8000 with a profile clarius in the back. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Rep Power: 0 what up Mike, i have NO!! knowledge of what u just asked....to prolly get the best answer id post in the ICE FORUM for a quick response. As for any suggestions, ask somethin and ill give striaghtup opinion on anything i know or heard. Rims/exhaust/neons or no neons.....ask away bro. 1st off what color ride u got? that would help me get an idea. I JUST got a digi and AEM helped me post my pics, still got 4G's worth of work to do to the car in the next couple months so i am no where near done.

Rep Power: 0 Hey Mike, most people use MDF (Med. Density Fiber Board) to construct a speaker box. I'm sure you know that you want your box to be really sturdy and not flex under pressure. I made my trunk setup from 1/2" MDF. The box, the deck, and the amp rack. I blew the two Kicker Comps I had in the box, but they may be replaced with two JLs. I'm trying to get rid of my trunk setup, so if you know anyone with a 2k1 that's interested. I'll give them the box (minus the blown speakers), the deck & amp rack (minus the amp), and I'll install their new speakers, amp, and install the setup in their trunk. I guess I can do all that for $300. Back to your box......if you want a custom box, and you're gonna build it yourself, yes, you can use oak or any other hard wood, but most people use MDF because it's cheap and doesn't flex easy. If you don't have to have a custom setup, I'd recommend shopping around for a nice speaker box for the size speakers that you want in your car. Go to your local audio shop and ask them what kind of box would sound good in your car. If they don't have decent prices, shop around online or somewhere else for the type of box they recommend and you can probably find a good deal.

on my way to florida, i realized there was a rattle on the side where somebody had hit me a few weeks ago, so i need to go get that checked out by the people that fixed my ride...also they got buff streaks on the place they had to paint, so im getting that redone too.

Hopefully, I'll find a hottie like her one day, but I'm still lookin. (and spendin my money on the civic) I'm lookin for a hotel room for next weekend. Can't wait to leave for Florida on Friday. So far I think me, two of my boys, and some chick are goin. My car's gonna be slammed with all those people. But it's all good. I finally installed my camber kit, so I quit f*cking up my tires. But I need some struts BAD!!!! Just ask JW!! LOL

It's viscious cycle!! lol I think you just need to get some 1.5 inch drop springs, camber kit, koni struts, and cat back system. The struts and cat back are gonna be the most expensive.
The meet is this coming Saturday. It sucks that you have to work. But to tell you the truth, I probably shouldn't be going either. I put about 600 miles on my car in the past 8 days!! I'll have had my car for 1 year on the 19th of this month. That thing had 12 miles on it when I drove off the lot and now (a year later) it has 21,000 miles on the odo!! I need to get me a beater or somethin. haha Oh, and hey, if you need any help fixin up your boss's car, let me know. You should bag that thing and have it scrapin bottom!!! Your boss would probably like playin with the switches too. LOL j/k

Another Mississippi ride here. How's it going Pearl? Not much going on in MS so if you guys don't mind I'm going to hang with you LA boys. Got a brother in Baton Rouge so I get down there every now and then.
I posted in another thread about needing a shop, then I discovered you guys. Is there a GOOD shop in LA that could install my Neuspeed Sport springs, SPC camber kits, mount/balance my new rims & tires, and then do an alignment? I have no problem driving over to get the work done right.
Any ideas?
