Overheating parked and no heat

Its just NOT overheating. I've driven all over today and nothing... its fine. Oil is clean looking, saw nothing in the oil change.
I used to get **** downshifts (with 400k its expected) but now its downshifting beautifully but ****ing slamming into 2nd and 3rd unless I giver more gas then usual... I guess I'll check the tranny fluid tomorrow and the solenoids.
