Replacing the hood?
Hey all. I hit a deer a couple months ago, the only real damage done was to the hood, which is understandably mangled (but still latches, go Honda!). Body shop wants $1500 to fix the hood and some little bracket in the front of the engine (only a small part of it is remotely bent, and seemingly affects nothing). Seems to me I can just buy an OEM hood and replace the thing myself, but I'm not 100% on that. I have NO mechanical experience, but I am mechanically inclined. Is this just a direct swap with a few tools, or is there something more to it? Are all the necessary holes and such (wiper nozzles, hinge brackets, etc) already in place, or do those need to be drilled? Also, since it would be an OEM part, the latch loop should already be installed, right? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just an OEM replacement so my car doesn't look like sh....well, you get the picture.
Thanks to any and all for advice.

It should be a straight swap. 4 bolts is all that secures it to the hinges.
Can you show us a pic of the bracket that's bent?
