Quijano

I painted the outside. I put on 3 coats of tint. I originally planned on putting one coat of tint so it wont be completly black... just a little smoked out. After the first coat it looked a little smoked out but in the middle where the red reflector is turned pink when light hit it.

Thats why I made them really dark so the red reflector inside wont look pink through the tint.

Smoking out the inside would work but I heard its really really hard to take apart the taillight.

It is REALLY REALLY hard to take apart the tail light to spray on the inside. I tried and ruined 1 of my stocks. Way harder than headlight. I have a pic of the difference. It really isnt that noticalble(sp). PM for a pic.

Peace

man, this was something that i had on mine that made my car 100% different. I have had mine since i got my car last may......infact i may have been the 1st coupe with them and the reverse lights still white.....i love it but am thinking about going back and redueing them....i hope paint remover will work on them.

Wnjoy but they look the best with black projectors or diy black headlights

no no i was first... please man who gives a ***?
why dont you have any pics of it in your gallery if you were the first?

anyways i was thinking maybe if i use some real, krylon triple thick clear glaze..instead of that testors clear do you think it will stay on longer? it wont get affected by ammonia! and it is very shinny. i got 2 cans of the tint. i am going to be doing them on my oem tails. so i will be posting some pics with a reveiw of what i think with this clear coat and oem tails!!

****, you said to make sure to buy two cans of tint because one will not be enough. Do i use the entire can on one taillight and entire one on the other?

you dont use the entire can on 1 light, i would say you use about 90% of it.

i wish i knew about taping the lights. i have tycs and their dark. For the past day cars seem to be getting closer and closer and seem like their gonna hit me from behind. I dont know if its legal to have done this, so if someone hits me they will blame it on the dark lights and it will likely be my fault. During the week i drive in traffic and people dont pay attention, hopefully they will see me.

Ehh, I got some not so good news. The corners of my taillights faded out a little, I guess I didnt put enough tint there?

I'll touch them up sometime this week
