well i have a pair of gunmetal tyc tails and i since i cant seem to get rid of them for 60 bucks...i was thinking maybe i should smoke em and see how it goes. And i know its not legal, but how often has someone gotten pulled over for it? any help would be appreciated.
Man, this looks great. I got a 99 civic coupe, silver, not sure which type of silver though. Tryin to imagine how it would look if I did this little mod to em, they all look really nice, good job guys. If you got any advice on whether it would look nice or not, im open to criticism, thanks, and great job guys.

all you have to do is take the carpet off behind them and undo the screws. but make sure you keep the sealer thing if you forget it or fk it up you will get water in your trunk.
did mine...kind of messed them up a lil bit but i did my tycs, gonna use them for a while and then i might decide to do my oem tails. looks good still. i ran out of clear so i could only put two coats on. i did it outside too and had a real small bug fly in it and get stuck so thats why its messed up but still looks good. great diy.

Here is the only legality issued that should be taken into consideration. Your vehicle needs to have 2 red refelctors on the rear of the vehicle on each side. If you look at a stock tail, there is a red reflector inside the bottom C section. The best way to check is have someone parked about 10-20 yards and shine their lights on the tails. If you can see the red reflectors light up then you should be perfectly legal. This is the reason why all clear tail are illegal, since they don't have red reflectors. Although you could by the thin strips of red reflective tap and put near the bottom of the rear bumper. Then your all clear tails would be legal.
