ncirom2003 will become famous soon enough
hey guys, i just looked at the damper itself... i can rather easily move it in and out probably a good 1/4-1/2 an inch, then it gets too stiff to move by hand..... is that normal?

maybe it needs that so the sudden engine movement doesnt rip it apart. if i hear enough good things about this i may just ditch my bar and use the damper. seems like the damper does more anyway.

If Redviking gets it to work with the Neuspeed, I'll be buying one.

I just miss mine! They left the yellow paper on my door...

I'll go pick it Monday at their service center since I need to pay some brokerage fee (canada)... wow I did not expect it to be that much! Almost half of the damper itself...

Note to self: Never order from US again...

They told me, that I can only come pick it up on the next working day... Monday

I hope that somebody will come with a definitive answer on the Damper+Neu bar question, before Monday then!

Because if it's not a direct fit, I won't have time to test other option before next week-end...

I just realize that nobody posted the thickness of the bracket...

Can somebody with a damper post that?

I will then check using a dummy bracket of the same thickness, if I have enough space to fit the bracket and the neuspeed bar on the bolt.

(clears throat)

That is exactly why we do not ship that much goods to Canada at all. Because when he does that, we get the bill, contact him about it, he blows us off, we hire a collection agency and we look like the bad guys for doing nothing. Not cool. It already happened a few times in the past.

Okay fellows...

I did some test with a 5/32 spacer under my Neuspeed bar... here are the pics:

I was able to turn my wrench for 4 complete turn and a little bit more to reach the 33ft/lb torque spec:

Here is the bolt without spacer and a Neuspeed bar:

Here is the bolt alone:

Conclusion, I think we'll be okay with both mods. I read somewhere that the rule of thumb when using wheel spacer under your wheel is that it is safe if you can do 3 complete turn of the nuts... The same should apply here...I was able to do a little bit more than 4!

And for the rust on the bar and car = that's what you get when you live in Quebec, Canada!!!

I just pick up my Stiffy!

I should installl it soon, when I'll have some time (hope tomorrow!).

Good news, the bracket is a little bit thiner than the spacer I tried this week-end, so the nut should be able to do 5 complete turns!

Don't worry guys, the definitive answer is coming soon... Are you getting wet yet?

Here is the bolt with the bracket... sorry for the pics quality!

And a final shot:

Didn't have the chance to really test drive it. I just ride accross the corner to ensure everything was running fine...
WOW unbelievable!

You can really feel that it's there. The engine is stiff! And less in-cabin vibration than I expected.

I started in 2nd gear from a complete stop, usually you can feel the engine moving as it tried to get to speed... now it just get to speed very easily.

Best mod yet! after the RSX sway...

So go for it guy! Dezod send me my percentage of the benifit...

I'll post more comments tomorrow...

Enjoy!

_______________________________

I just realized while looking at the first post, that I installed the damper on the other side of the engine bracket facing the fender... while scansel912 installed it toward the engine...

Which one is better? I'll need to check the instruction again...
