Rep Power: 226 OMG First Autox of the season tomorrow
It feels like it has been such a long off season, I am so ready for the first event of the year . It is going to be a very competative year, a friend of mine started a racing clothing line called "Team XLR8" and subsequently started a team of weekend road race autox guys, me being one of them. A couple of my teammates/biggest competators are:
My brother in-law driving a 1996 legacy GT (~2900lbs):
-STI swap
-Stage II coBB
-Full race exhaust (no catt)
-Gutted trunk/rear seats
-Wilwood 6 piston brakes
-Tein RA suspension
-STI stearing rack
-Falken RT-615s 235/17
-and other misc mods
The creater of the clothing line and good Friend driving a 2005 STI:
-Lots of mods that made him around 300whp and 400lbs of tourque on the same dyno that I tuned on.
-good suspension setup (not sure of the brand)
-gutted rear seats and trunk
-trunk bars and full harness
-many other small suspension mods
So we will see how the SM 33 civic hangs against these guys

Well it has come and gone faster than Christmas for a 10 year old . It was a great track, great weather, and great event. The only thing that could have made it more perfect was if I would have driven better. We only got 4 runs and I managed to hit a cone on the second and DNF the 4th. My best time was a 47.6xx sec lap, but I really think that I could have shaved 2 seconds off of that time. The key being that I really need to learn to stay off of the gas until the wheel is straight, I was really burning the tires up bad. Anyway, there were 21 people in the class and my brother in law with the Legacy took first with a 44.9xx, he is an exceptional driver with a car that is set up perfectly. My other buddy with the STI took 2nd with a 45.5xx. I ended up 8th, so I guess it can only get better from here.
