i was curious where the nearest race track by massillon ohio is, i wanted to take my car out on a track and my friend does also, just to see what its like and get a better idea of what our cars do in certain conditions

Either way These guys should be able to help.

Contact the Solo Chair for info on Autocross. and even if they are too far away they may be able to point you twards the right people

Not to sure what is near you. I am from Toledo and we just went up to Waterford Hills race track in Michigan. You could always go to Mid-Ohio, but track days there cost alot ($200+). If I were you I would not do a track day until you have either had instruction or have participated in a year or two of auto-x regularly. We had a auto-x on the race track at Waterford Hills (a couple cones to show proper lines, and slow you down on the straits) and even then there were two accidents. While auto-x may teach you some bad habits for the track (i.e. over driving the car), it gives you invalueable experience and knowledge of the limits of your car. I think that with this you stand a better chance of having to trailer your car home in pieces.
