illegal mods for auto-x?

hi, i am new to the auto-x rules, and the terms used in the scca rule book is kinda different from what we used here... so i would like to ask what mod is illegal for auto-x.
1. so i heard the x-brace is illegal for auto-x, is it right? any other mods are illegal in auto-x? i guess for the Street Touring class? I am not sure what class i should be in with basic mods.
2. are rear sway and tie combo bars illegal? (the kind of sway that has tie bar mounted on them, like progress ones)
3. i am going have the basic i/h/e along with koni shocks and springs and some suspension bars, what class would i be running at? Street Touring?

this one is not related to the rules, but...
4. are there difference between the combo sway and tie bar and 2 different bars (one sway and one tie)? It seems the combo bar would be stiffer, right? since it also mounts sway to the chasis in additon to the endlinks.

TIA

read the STS rules. theres a PDF posted in the stickys. If it doesn't specify it in the rules, its illegal to change. X braces are illegal. Suspension braces must attach to suspension mounting points only (you can't add any or bolt them to the body). I am not aware of the combo bars being illegal. I also can't see anyone raising a fuss about it even if they were. If you worry, paint the tie bar black.
Basic mods runs STS barring anything that doesn't show up in the rules as changable.
The sway bar and tie bar don't really "work together". One pushes weight side to side, the tie bar just keeps the subframe from being pulled apart. You can buy separate and get the same result.

Well you cant actually say a part is Illigal for Autocross... Its more along the lines that certin parts are not leagal in certin classes of autocross. So you can have them, but they will bump you to a different class. Example, the X brace you refer to is not leagal in STS, but it is in Modified.... But given the car you have, you stand to do much better in STS then Modified (your car would end up in D-Mod, wich is currently dominated by 900LB cars with 2-300 HP..).... so, you pick and choose your parts to allow you to fit in a class that will allow you to do the best with your particular car.

if you're on top 3 every race then maybe you should take them off... but if you end up last every damn race like myself then, don't even bother taking them off
