View on the Solstice/Sky?
I am curious to see how you guys think the sky/solstice will perform when it comes out. I know it is 177hp, 166lbs/torque, 2800lbs, and 50/50 weight distribution. Stock it comes with a short throw and bilstein shocks. I want to go test drive one when they come out to see what it is like.
How you do guys think it will fare in autox/road racing?

Havent a clue.. But saturns are known to be one of the few More oversteer prone cars around (at least that 3 door coupe they made was) so it should be interestin. I'm curious as to the suspension design too.

I am wondering if the extra 40bhp will compensate for the extra 400 - 700lbs(depending on the year) over their direct competetion(Miata). For turning, I think its really going to hurt them.
The NC(2006) Miatas basically already have them beat...by a lot(same HP, 400lbs less, one hell of a suspension) unless it comes out as stiff as an S2000 & similar performing suspension. Im not expecting much out of them, but thats just me, I might be pleasantly surprised, hell they look cool enough to counter the pontiac/saturn badge.
Ill probably go test drive one also.
Edit: The fact that they both come stock with 18's dosent make it sound too promising either.

I would think maybee B stock, unless they bump the existing Miatas down to E stock, I think that was what they were considering.
You just ordered one, as in a new one? MSM, or an NC, (can you even order those yet)?

I was referring to the 05 MSMs...
Thats awesome man, post it up when you get it! I highly doubt you wont like it.
Have they set a final release date / price yet? I know there was some rumors they might be pushed back to the fall.

As for release and pricing, due to be here by Sept and pricing has NOT been released. Rumor is that the pricing is supposed to be within 1% of the current car. You're right, I will probably love it!
