Rep Power: 290 New Toyo tire...
The new competition radial, Toyo Proxes R888 has been developed to deliver maximum dry handling and quick lap time for the racing events, such as competition or "Track day" events.
Anybody seen this?
Or read any reviews on it?
It's available in the 205/50/15 size that I'd need....now I just need to know the price.
Click here for sizes and specs
Anyway, here's a pic of it, and some "features"...
Features and Benefits
Supreme Dry Handling
Special racing compound "GG" and a large contact patch significantly improve cornering grip, resulting in quick and responsive handling.
Low Heat Generation
Cap and base tread construction minimizes heat-build-up and prevent tread compound from deterioration, maintaining its handling capabilities for longer distance.
ECE Certified Racing Tire
Certified for ECE regulation, Proxes R888 can also be used on public highways.
I dunno...whatcha think?

I'm thinking that with the "R888" in the name, it's probably an R compound tire..thus not being ST legal. But on the other hand, "Proxes R888 can also be used on public highways."
I dunno though...

Rep Power: 295 ^I doubt it, they probably have their own special blend of rubber designed exclusively for those cars/tracks.
These tires are probably going to be somewhere between Azenies & Victoracers. I doubt theyre going to be anywhere near slicks.

Rep Power: 356 Couple of things, this tire is replacing the Trampio R888, wich was never avalible in the US, so there is a good chance this tire wont be avalible in the US... and more then likely it has a UTQG rating under 140. (I cant find a UTQG on either the Trampio or Proxes R888)....

you really should watch the world-challege championship. the touring car class is my favorite, but the GT class is fun to watch too, big horsepower cars like saleen mustangs, vipers, corvettes, etc.
