Endlinks?
I'm posting this in here because of some BOGUS information I got from an unnamed member of this board...[cough]Boil[/cough]
ROFLMAO j/k man
I was under the impression that with my 900 in./lb. rear spring rates, my newly aquired 22mm Progress rear sway bar would pretty much be a moot point.
Well...
IT'S NOT. lol
Sure enough, I broke an endlink last night tuning the suspension in my fav. empty parking lot.
So..I thought to myself, "B said it wasn't really doing much anyway....so I'll just take it off until I can replace the endlink." Right?
WRONG. lol
I ran a BMWCCA AutoX event today with NO rear sway bar on the EP3....
Needless to say the EP pushed through the corners WORSE than stock.
So I dropped the front psi to about 30, left the rear at about 40, and tried again.
Overall, I ended up 9th out of 20 in S class. Not TOO bad, considering the circumstances, but I think I could have done MUCH better if the suspension acted like it did when I HAD the sway bar.
Anyway....I NEED ENDLINKS!!! I called the local Acura dealership, and they've got a set of STOCK DC5 endlinks, for NINETY FRIGGIN' BUCKS!!!
So I'm thinkin' I'll go with some DIFFERENT/BETTER endlinks....
I've already posted in Grey's thread about his endlinks, but the last post was over 2 months ago....so I dunno if he's still selling them, and how fast he can get them to me (I've got another event 1 week from today). But if he can't get them to me, I'm thinking I'll just spring the $150 for the Hotchkiss DC5 endlinks, and have them overnighted.
Any other suggestions?

... Ya gotta remember.... Just because your not getting much body roll doesnt mean that an anti-roll bar is pointless. Because afterall reducing body roll is only their secondary job. their primary job is to help adjust the Roll couple distribution of the car, so apparently even with your spring rates you still need some Bias twards the back.
BTW, Grey still sells the endlinks. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...highlight=Grey
took about a week to get mine.

Just click on one of the links (of the set you want to buy) and pay through pay pal.
Got mine the same time I got my 25.4mm Rear bar... so, about 2 months or so ago.

Probably becuase endlinks and sway bar end isn't perfectly 90degress vertical, unlike oem setup.
Progress's design flaw imo
Also have Grey's endlinks with progress sway bar.
So far so good.

Progress's design flaw imo
Everyone who seems to blow them has the progress bar. Theres not much fuss from the other ones, mine certainly has no issues.
Don't blame me if the bar is too long.
Has someone even contacted progress about this to see if they know the bar is messed up and is snapping all these endlinks?
My other question, did it snap the link in half or did it pull the ball joint out?
PS- Honda charges $13.50 for a new one.... and I'm fairly certain that they're the same as the RSX ones.

Good call. I dunno if anyone's contacted Progress.
But the endlink actually broke at the TOP ball joint, the joint where the endlink connected to the bar itself.

Read closer.
It's the 22mm PROGRESS bar that snapped mine, and the other fella's have either the Progress bar or Hotchkiss bar.
I don't think the 19mm bar will snap them, but might wanna check just to be safe.
But ya know what? I just thought of something. I wanted a big rear sway bar...AND the tie bar, so I got the progress. But I COULD sell the Progress for like $100, and get the JDM CTR rear sway bar (22mm, and it SHOULD fit PERFECTLY).

Yep, I still do sell my endlinks. I updated the design a little (I still have to post the pics of how the updated design looks like.). It now bends even more than before, so it's better for extreme lowering and/or raising. Actually, jumping too... Well, anything that would make the suspension be in full droop on one side and full compression on the other side.
