So I have had domestic cars but am thinking about getting a Honda. I was doing some YouTube research and came across this, how do you all deal with the hate?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

actually, he forgot more than you will ever know
and in your first post on a car enthusiast forums for civics, you put a video of civic haters?
Well, I am afraid you will not classify as "best representative of this community" either...
thicker skim, sir...
also, what you say comes back to bite you back in the internet...

same way you welcome us with a "honda sucks" video...
can you read first, then write reply?
it's pointless to ask if one does not read. we see it daily.
Also, to reply to your question, I simply have the car i have by choice. Don't like gas guzzlers.
The hate is due to all the kids that think they have a race car, but have no idea what i good car is. Mine is estimated at 35+ HP and suspension that outhandle the meager power added, but on stock wheels (no posing required, it's a sleeper.
I don't need to prove myself against other drivers that only have an engine that they simply opened the wallet.
Also, I am amateur racer, so I know that engine power matters not if you don't have the ability to handle it.
Why are you so worried worried about what others think? It's pointless. My 46 MPG is enough, and the car is more exciting than the Prius. Funny thing, but some of the most speeding ticketed cars is the Prius, just for the giggles It's all in one's perception and mind.

LOL, the fact you choose "Masternoob" as username means you don't plan to stay your whole life in here anyway...
come on, give us a decent reply... again, think before you reply.... you are old enough for that...
I also replied to your question, if you cared to read...
Have you ever thought that experience on the forums also depends on your own approach at the forums,as well as other members? your posts and replies were rude, so replies were rude, mirroring your own post.
think about.

Masternoob comes from when I was playing a lot Halo, a play on Master Chief.
I really was asking a legitimate question,I come from the world of domestic cars and there is a lot of animosity towards imports, Hondas taking the brunt. So I was just trying to get a feel for how you handle it. Not you in particular but as a community. I can see that you like to respond by trying to assert your dominance and making sure the new people know their place.

If I was trying to be rude I could have posted this video. Instead I posted a video I found that was lighthearted and a bit silly

again, what other people's thought do matter?
I do have it because it is a good car for me?
If by dominance you mean being reasonable, i plead guilty.
If you want it, get it.
If you have an issue with the car, post it and we will try our best to answer.
But that video? It will be removed in due time. No place to it here.
the address will still be visible, if anyone is interested.
If you want pointers of what to look for when buying the car? we could help on that.

Now, if your problem is insecurity (since you mention what other people think about the hondas and how we handle it, and then you included my "dominance", then it's related to your psychological side), please look somewhere else than the forums.
It' outside of a car forums to look after insecurities, sorry. (We had a case a few years ago that lasted for years - we will prefer to keep this strictly about cars).

I was thinking of getting one of these little wagons. The idea of a small awd wagon is cool.

We appreciate the help, ralph, but recommend to let us moderators take care of this. There's history on drama, insecurity in this forums
ref: civicnoobie member, who had a medical condition, as described by himself.
We are just making sure this is not the case again.

Ok, now it's a tough one to get info on, I will give you that... most info I have on them is blueprint and that they are torsion bar suspension...
I am starting to feel better about you.
I can respect you bringing out the 1985
some research have gone behind it

1981 below:
<a href="http://s190.photobucket.com/user/sdaidoji/media/civic%20general/very%20old%20generations/Honda%20Civic%20Wagon%201981_zpswyradgyx.gif.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z77/sdaidoji/civic%20general/very%20old%20generations/Honda%20Civic%20Wagon%201981_zpswyradgyx.gif" border="0" alt=" photo Honda Civic Wagon 1981_zpswyradgyx.gif"/></a>
the 2nd generation is shown, 1982 below - unsure of the older ones AWD availability...
as wagons go, I think they ended in 1989? that would be 4th gen.

as forums history goes, i must clarify that this started as 7th generation forums, but have been changed to all generation civics, so the best resource we have is... ezone.
apologies if we don't have enough information in other older models... we do welcome knowledgeable members, though

if your interest is on the older models, I compiled as much as i could muster in here - a deeper internet search would have yielded more information, but the intent was a overview of all the generations.

then 2000 and earlier to 1990 are the best ones, light, smaller and doublewishbone suspension.
reason for my statement is found below:

Masternoob,
if you want to change the username, we can talk with the administrator, although you mentioned your reasons for that.
No problems on that. Like said, your last replies were enough for me to respect you now.
