Howzit
Howzit
Howzit, newbie form the 808 state. I bought a 03 EX coupe to save on gas, but not long after, the upgrade bug hit. First I got a killer stereo, changed the steelies to SI rims with 205r15's tires wrapped around, and that was supposed to be it. A couple of months later, which is were I am now, I bought a cat back system, installed an Injen SRI, and I installed a Ksport full coilover system. Also changed the stock headlights to black projectors. I dont think I'll do anything more except change the carpet from tan to black, get black Wet Okole seat covers front and back but who knows. I got most of the information on the intake, coilovers ond other mods from forums such as this one. I'd like to thank this forum for all the help.
Re: Howzit
Here are a couple of pictures of my busy sunday evening after work. I installed the coilovers, Injen SRI and the front projector headlights. It took me till early monday morning, and all that was left was to install the wheels and take her to the alignment shop. Took it for a test drive through Waikiki and all went well. although the ride is not stock, its better than I thought.
Re: Howzit
I don't have a picture of my head unit, but its built around a Pioneer DEH-P880 PRS. Amps are DLS Reference RA20 & RA40, Speakers are DLS Ultimate Nordica 6.5 comps in the front and Boston Acoustics SC95 6X9 in the rear. Subwoofer is a JL Audio 12W3 in a JL Power Wedge enclosure. The RA 20 powers the sub, while the RA 40 powers the front & rear. All cabling are KnuKonceptz. The doors and the trunk have been deadened with Dynamat.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Yups from the 808 state the west side of Oahu. Also older guy here, turning 47 in a couple months and really enjoy driving this Civic. Most of my cars that I owned I fixed them up a little, from VW's way back when to V8's, trucks, and now my trusty Civic. Thinking about throwing in a stage 1 cam and doing some head work at the same time while I change my timing belt.

I'm kinda familiar with the island. I got a good amount of fam out in Honolulu and a lot more on Kauai.
There's a lot of good DIY guides for anything you may need to do on your car, a fairly extensive timing belt DIY guide or 2, also.

Re: Howzit
good luck!
I plan on doing the same sometime from now too. Hehe! now it's pon55, too_tall and you that are older than me in the forum
Makes me feel young in me 39years-young pretty body
good to have another experienced gearhead here, from another old fart
good times, trying to adjust a carburetor... VW's and all, with their 15 minutes to drop the engine out of the car
Kenny, yours is not the only white car in the bunch anymore

Re: Howzit
Howzit. Its been a while since I been here, busy with work. Anyway planning on changing my timing belt this summer and at first I was thinking about slapping in a stage 1 cam, but know I think I'm going with a stage 2. Of course i'll have to get springs and retainers, and I decided to go with AEM standalone ECU because the tuner I'm going with is familiar with AEM. I don't want to boost yet untill I build up my bottom end first. Any thoughts?
