New guy here
New guy here
Whats up everyone, I'm brand new to this forum and the auto world in general. Just bought my first car less than 30 minutes ago, and it's long overdue.
After a couple months of searching for something decent, with some heartbreaks along the way, I came across a pretty solid deal on a 80,000 mile 5-speed '02 civic LX. It's got a few problems, a (tiny) bit of rust under the doors, and the back passenger window isn't working (will be my first project).
I will most likely get extremely obsessed with this car as I do with every important item I buy. I currently know nothing about the mechanics of a car, but really want to learn my way around....so here I am. You will probably see me around here a bunch asking lots of stupid questions.
First thing I'm going to do is learn how to drive manual (ha...), then fix the window, then upgrade the sound system, then exterior cosmetics....which will be hard since it isn't the most ideal color in the world (titanium metallic). Looking for some ways to make it look a bit more sporty without ricing it out too much...but I'll probably post a topic about that later.
PICS (dealers pics, I won't have possession of it until next weekend):

Re: New guy here
Thanks for the welcome! I've started my search for head unit (thread), and hopefully will start the next things on my list as soon as I get a job up here.
I will reply to that thread in one second
