Longtime - Firsttime

Hey all! Mr. Showtime checking in for the first time. I created an account back in 05 when I first started thinking about modding my civ, but made my first actual appearance just yesterday.

I live in the Mile High and I have an 05 ES1 Special Edition. Seeing as how I'm poor, I've only been able to muster up one mod, a Spectre intake. I've got my eyes on a strut bar next. I also plan to switch to the coupe grille and maybe throw a black emblem on the back.

What do you guys/gals think?

Cool Re: Longtime - Firsttime

Whats up Showtime.. just joined the forum.. so im new to all this too..

i would go with the coupe grille.. i have an 04 coupe and i think those grilles look better.. i have had my car since 05 and have always wanted to get @ least an intake for it.. but unfortunately end of last month i got rear ended.. car goes in the shop today.. dont know if it is totalled or not..

you know anything about frame damage and stuff like that?.. mostly got hit on my bumper but the guy knows there is frame damage that quoted my car.. there also has to be something wrong with my fans.. when AC is on and my car is idle it shakes.. makes a funny noise with i turn on and off my car..

but i swear.. if i get a damn Echo for a rental car.. im going to laugh..

that sucks about the civ.

To answer your AC question, could be a moisture issue, but I'm not sure. Search the forum. If you can't find anything, create a new thread. I'm sure you're not the first to have that problem. Of course, you may want to wait to see if you'll ever be driving your Honda again.

Good luck.

Welcome guys..

Orig poster- whats up with the blue dryer piping?? Im assuming thats just to get cooler air and its not actually part of the whole spectre intake kit?

As for the other guy- your floor pan prob needs to be cut out and replaced- I doubt there is frame damage. He would have to hit you at either an angle, or around 40mpg if your stopped. Point being, if he hit you dead on from the back your frame is prob fine.

It's a duct hose by Spectre. The filter has an opening at the end and the hose is fitted into the end of the filter in order to snake into those hard-to-reach places. It's got a wire skeleton so it holds shape and doesn't (noticibly) bounce around. And it's long enought that I've got it going all the way past the frame.

I went that route in order to create a suedo-CAI that I could convert during rain/winter. It's actually been raining quite a bit here recently, so I can convert it to the place where the stock snorkel used to rest just left of the battery (looks like it's gonna rain tonight, so I'll try to post some pics).
