Well to start off my name is Ashley Roachclip.....I am sure I will get plenty of snickers out of many .
Any way , I don't really own a civic , but have been doing many conversions , and swaps in this small town , so I thought I would join in, and share some of my experiences .
I do own a 92 GSR , with an Ls Vtec .
I did the conversion myself , as my first foot in the door , after aquiring the car with a bad engine .
Most recently , what has brought me here , is the 93 Civic Si to H22A swap .
A friend of mine son is graduating this year .
And as a present , We did a little exploring , and found that this was a doable project .
Had a custom painter friend , that had received the engine in a trade , so we picked it up complete with dyno sheet .
I won't bore you with all of the details , because being the astute enthusiasts you are ,
you already know quite a little about the sources
for the individual parts .
Took about a week for the mounts to arrive , radiator , and fan , Kirban fuel pump .
2 hours after we started , the old D16 was out , and next to the new monster.
took the next day , and made a few minor wiring mods, lengthened the alt harness cut the frame purches , and boxed them and made sure that all connectors were going to work from the Si to the h22a ...
On Saturday , took a few minutes to get in the swing , and with in another 2 hours , we had the engine resting in it's new home on it's own .
the rest of the day was spent modifying the core support to make room for the power steering, which took a small bit of trimming but was fairly simple .
By the end of the day , well early evening it was started ....
Man I can't tell you who's face had the biggest smile , the son or the Dad .
Transmission cable swap , is where we found , that the nice clean re-enforcement we made had to be reworked to be able to get the car into 1st gear .....oh well .
Last came the integra axles , and we buttoned it up and set it on the ground ....
I don't know how far into detail I can go here , so I won't tell you all of the 13K in parts that were installed , but what I can tell you is I took it out for it's first burn out , with a JDM LSD ......and hazed the industrial park we work on our race cars and stuff .
Open header , and that car is into Vtec at a snap of the fingers .
Today it went in for exhaust , got rid if the Blow Master , in favor of something that would let it breath , but not sound like the rest of the populations simular rides.
Next stop will be at tire store for some more appropriate wheels and tires , something in a manly polished 5 spoke .17"x7 or 7 1/2 '.
and the poverbrial drop , probably coil over , and some unibody stiffening parts .
I will take a moment to let you know what has been done to the engine , and where it was built , it is an extensive list .
sit down and hold on ,

I will get pictures aas soon as I get to my other computer , probably tomorrow .
I think you will enjoy them .
And one more thing , if you don't mind , say high to DON ( the Father ) and Spoon ( the son )
Secondly , the srock TPS values won't work as I had to raise the idle figure up from .050 to .063 to solve an off idle quirk
Thanks for having me .....
