Hi, my name is Brian and Im an Alcho...oops, wrong place _ Im a civic owner with an air bag problem. Yes, I do realize its been discussed before. I feel Honda and every other manufacturer uses the SRS lights as a money making cash cow in the same way Bush plays the 9/11 card whenever he and his cronies want to off a few muslims. But hey Im a little tourqued right now.

actually if the srs light is on it means there is a problem. and its actually kinda difficult to reset yourself. but you need to find out whats wrong, otherwise as of now you have no airbags. have you been in an accident, or jump started the car? are there even airbags in the car?

Yes, thanks. The car has driver and passenger airbags. I had it checked out by local mechanic and they tell me the resistance is too high in passenger side bag, so it likely shut off the entire system.

2 co-workers have or are having similar problems with their hondas - accord and odyssey. Im afraid honda will want to replace bags, and with 3 kids and wife, just not in budget now. I was hoping that Honda had some sort of recall or safety bulletin regading this condition. Seems to be a relatively common occurance.
