Hi guys, I just bought myself a Brand Spankin New 2005 Civic LX. It's an awesome car and I am amazed by the gas mileage it gets. I had some question on the car. On full tank, what do you guys usually get? Since it's stock right now, do I need to put in premium gasoline only or can I use regular? Well, I hope to mod this car but I was just wondering if a K20A or K20A2 engine swap is a simple swap? I look forward to all your help.
Thanks
BTW Here are my previous cars...

I only know of one person who has done the 05 k20 swap and he difficulties. I don't remember the username though.
I beleive that it is in the swapped section of the forum.

yeah, honestly it wans't easy going from those cars to my civic but the main reason being financial, im very happy about the civic and that it's very reliable and fuel efficient. And mod-able too. I was surprised to see people with K20A's in their RSX's go 13s even with just bolt-ons! I was really shocked when I found out my civic only weights like 2500lbs! I look forward to modifying the civic. First things that I am considering is to lower it with a good suspension setup and then a nice subtle bodykit.
Thanks for the inputs.

his name was quicksilver in san diego, yea i never heard the final story of that but yea a swap is always a possiliby, but no its not easy on the 05s, on a 2005 lx sedan auto i get probaly 310 miles unless its a long trip where i get like 370 but mine is brand new as well and needs time to break in
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

welcome!
If you are looking for a more OEM look get a subtle lip kit and grap one of the 2 different HFP wheels(Honda Factory Performance. wheels come with HFP package but now sold seperatly at www.handaaccessories.com).
If you want a more modified look then the possibilities are huge.
I have 7 spoke HFP wheels.

Just giving you ideas. I love these and they arent too much either.

damn man, you had some nice rides. anyways, have fun with the vic, welcome to the site. oh, mpg btw ranges from 32-40 mpg in the city, 43 highway. all depends on how you drive. and your milage will suck until you have about 15k miles on it. oh, and il be the first to ask...is it auto or manual?

oh yea btw, silver04 said the truth about how ur mpg won't be as good as it should be until u break about 15k miles.
and of course manual gets better mileage than auto
(btw i have 01 coupe auto w/ intake)

Well, it's common sense to just not step on it but it's kind of hard to explain. I'm still on my first tank of gas from the dealer and I think i can hit close to 500 miles. I guess it also helps that I drive on the highway 90% of the time.
Yeah same thing the Civic Hybrid has.
Did I say welcome yet? If not, welcome!
