2005 vp
2005 vp
hey everybody i am kind of new here, but just got my pc up and runnin again. i recently went out and got a honda civic "VP" as they call it refferring to the value package. i guess they did away with the dx, and the stupid thing is that the vp only comes standard with an automatic, i told them stick and they are like we will look and came up with absolutely nothing. so i had no ride, and had to get the lil granny 4 dr automatic. I just have a few questions for you guys, since im a ford guy and this is my first import i have gotten. I want to try and rice this thing out all i can, which i know is pointless with an auto, but hey i live in a cowtown here, anything will impress. But i have looked for cai's can either only find them for 2004, and mostly say 5 speed on them, or manual trans. i figured since the 2005 is a carryon for the 2004, that they would work, problem is they only list dx,lx, and ex, so which one should i get? and what does it matter about the auto trans and stick thing? also i saw this we have 4x100 rims? is this correct? and what rims can i get that will not rub on the inside of the fender wells, because i see that my lil 14" skimpy wheels are a lil skinny for the wide body on it. But it does have the sohc 1.7l in it, does anybody have a clue what i can do to this thing, as in body kits, and mods, i can do, like will the altezza rear lights work for an 05, just like an 04? you guys know more about hondas then me so help me out..........PLEASE!!!!!!??????

Welcome and the search feature is your friend. There are diffrences in a Auto and 5spd CAI. You need a DX/LX CAI for automatic and 01 and up Civic intake that meets that will work. There arnt many kits out for the 04 and ups that I know of just a few. And as far as altezzas I say no to them but whatever floats your boat. As for rims pretty much anything up to a 19 will fit with the right offset and depending on how far you want to lower it. I work for Honda so I can help where ever I can and welcome buddy.
