Bulb Part Number Question
Bulb Part Number Question
Hey all. I have been searching all over for the part numbers for the bulbs below and to the left of the radio. I want to replace them with LEDS. They are the twist lock bulbs. I was looking on superbrightleds, but I couldn't figure out exactly what I needed. Thanks for the help
I pulled them out and didnt see any numbers

Re: Bulb Part Number Question
My guess: You'll have to pick out an LED based on bulb dimensions, then install it into the original base.
Warning, those bulbs can be a **** to get out of the plastic base without tearing something up.
There are some things that LEDs won't illuminate though, because some things pick up the light off of the side of the bulb instead of the front where an LED lights up. I KNOW that the 2002 and newer CRV heater controls won't illuminate the pointers on the dials with an ordinary LED (or, the one I saw couldn't do it), and with the regular bulb too if you get the wrong length regular bulb and holder (I actually did this one).

Re: Bulb Part Number Question
You have to convert them yourself.
LEDautomotive.com sells DIY kits as well as converted bulbs.
Here's my dash converted to LEDs. I started with LEDautomotive's kit, then I graduated to making my own using SMD LEDs

Thanks all for your help
it was the length that i was concerned about. Thats what made it hard for me to figure out superbrightleds.com website. for the output i know what you mean. i was thinking of removing the color strip behind the climate controls. it looks like it would come off but id have to look again
i was looking to go brighter than the stock bulbs.
that looks great. i wonder if that would work with the window switch and the power mirror switch???

Re: Bulb Part Number Question
yep, got those ones done, too. and my cruise/mirror/sunroof switches as well. The driver window one is a bit different though. You have to desolder a circuit board
LEDautomotive has kits and DIY guides for pretty much all interior lights
here's another pic I stumbled upon in my photobucket

and check out this post of mine. Some good tidbits of info
