Interior LED install

trying to install some LEDs near my foot pedals and parallel to them (passenger foot area) Not very Car saavy so bear with me. I have friends who know how to splice the wires i just want to hear what you guys think. If anyone knows of a video i'd love to do this myself.

leds usually do not draw much power so you can tap into the cig lighter wiring.

Whenever my LEDs for this get here, should have been here days ago but got lost in the mail, I'll make a video or picture DIY.

I'm not sure if you need resistors, but I'm using some just to play it safe.
