I have been trying to modify my foglights so they can turn on with or without my lowbeams on.

I have took off the top cover to find the clip for the combination light switch and cut the red/yellow wire, then used a fuse tap to get a constant 12v whenever my car is on from the radio fuse.

Now i can turn on my foglights anytime but my fogs still cut when highbeams are used and whenever i put down my handbrake and the drl comes on. for now i pulled the fuse to the drl but would like to figure out how to fix this issue because it is illegal to drive without drl in canada.

Anyone know why my foglights still cut with drl and highbeam? thanks

tap the wire into the 12v fuse for the cigarette lighter in the fusebox, thats what i have done to mine and its been working perfectly like that for a year now..

i think i have the right idea with what to use as a 12v+ tap but where did you connect it to. I have been trying to find my foglight relay but i cant seem to find it.

i bought this little plugin clip thinger (dunno what you'd call it.. found it at canadian tire) that clips onto the fuse and soldered the wired it to that. works perfect
