HID & K2Motor Foglight Question

So i've been looking at putting a HID's kit in my 05 Civic Coupe. I know there are both single and dual types depending on if you want separate hi-beams or not. I've seen other 4300K setups and I've been impressed with their output.

My idea/question is: I was thinking is could I just solder extensions to the wires going to the OEM high beams and use those wires to power my OEM style K2Motor foglights? I wouldn't see why you couldn't to be honest but I figured i'd check with the guru's here. Saves installing the harness and switch by using the existing high beams switch, fusing, and wiring.

Thanks!

Re: HID & K2Motor Foglight Question

are you wanting to power the low, high and fogs all at once? if so, the stock wiring wouldn't handle that. you'd be trying to put 30A on an 18ga wire. 30A needs a 10ga wire. even if you're wanting to run the highs and fogs together....still too much for stock wiring. the only way around it is with a relay harness off the battery.
