Possible problem when selling Stock headlights?
Possible problem when selling Stock headlights?
hey so i put on some new projector headlights (on my 02 dx manual coupe) and i'm about to put the old ones up on ebay for like $60 a peice
when i see that i may be missing something crucial to them working on another car.
Ok so the blinker is just a bulb that goes into the socket and it has two "male" prongs sticking out the back this is the same on both my L and R lights, but when looking at my parking lightbulb on my R light i realized that it had a little extension, (working front to back) it goes bulb, male prong > female prong, to some sort of converter thing? which then leads to a red and black wire which then leads to the battery of course, i drew up a scetch really quick, let me know if u know what the thing circled in blue is.

would someone buy my headlights if i didn't have 4 of those "little extension things?" (2 blinkers 2 parking lights)... the main beam is built in and just has a 3 pronged male.
Thanks

Re: Possible problem when selling Stock headlights?
i have no idea what you mean, the sockets that the bulb goes into, and then the connector that plugs into them? you dont give them any of that. if youre selling lights, strip them of everything. you should have two empty holes for the blinker and park lights, and the main headlight only needs the wire clip on there. unless you wanna give them free bulbs. you shouldve already used all the sockets on your current headlights installed.

Nah, didn't use them all because i bought projectors that came with bulbs so i just cut and spliced the wires leading outa my old bulbs (that wouldn't fit in my new headlights anyways) with the lights in my projectors, so i still have the bulbs on me

i kept my OEM headlights when i did my retro. never know when you might need to go back stock. i say keep the OEM's.

The light output isn't bad, i was expecting a lil brighter but can't complain. The one thing that is weird about them is that they project a sort of hemisphere effect.

that's because they're not properly designed. even cars that come with OEM halogen projectors (camry, etc) have smooth, even light distribution. it's not as wide, far and bright as HID's, but it's still even. aftermarket projectors makers just don't put the effort needed into making them correctly.
