Head Light Bulbs

Does anyone think that my stock wiring will hold in mhy 1990 Honda Civic if I put in 80 watt Xenon Halogen bulbs? My manual says 65/55 for headlight wattage, but i wanted to know if anyone knew if it would do any damage?

Re: Head Light Bulbs

don't do it. buy a $20 relay harness off ebay if you want to do that. your stock wires aren't sized for that. i burned up the wiring in my wifes old car with 80w bulbs.

Re: Head Light Bulbs

Or build your own harness with relays and larger gauge wire. It's not that expensive.

Either way you will also gain brightness from the direct power wiring.
