+1 I've been running these for about 2 months and love them. I'm really glad I got out of the blue light/hyper white fad and settled for these. I can see VERY well at night now. I heard they don't last long but we shall see. If they blow I'll get HID.

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Bulbs

my friend's TC has them. pretty damn bright.
i don't think they make the ultras for the H4 headlight. at least i haven't seen them here in RI since the rest of the ultras came out.

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Bulbs

crzy, that would really suck having to replace them every 6 months since a set goes for $50 each..it would probably be better to save that money up and then buy HIDs

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Bulbs

I talked to Philips about their X-treme Power bulbs (I think they are almost direct competition to the Silverstars). They told me since these bulbs burn hotter than standard bulbs they last roughly 300 Hrs. Depending on how much night driving you do will depend how long they last. If you use them 1 Hr a day, that's less than a year till replacement. Sylvania recommends you replace thier bulbs annually. I was going to change to one of these bulbs, but I'm going to re-think that now.

i know what you mean man. i was so crzy before wanting to upgrade my headlights without having to pay for HID, so i wanted to make this thread to see what everyone else thought before i made my choice.

By the way to everyone that gave an opinion, thank you.
