i bought an 02 civic ex and the guy that i bought it from had put aftermarket foglights on (not the oem kind). When i bought the car the guys had told me that the fog light bulbs were broken , but than i thought i might as well check if power is even getting to it so i used that needle like thing that lights up to check power(sorry not very good with electrical names) and it didnt light up. How do i fix the wiring?? (Im pretty sure the guy did the wiring himself)

ps. there are two wires that run to the button that is down by the hood release lever(the wires are black and white). Do you think the headlights switch would have to be turned on to get power to it??? (Just a thought)

it could be, did you try it? worst case you have to buy a new harness,or just a new set of foglights. a new set on ebay is only like 20 bucks, i spent more on my bulbs than the actual lights and harness - and they still work well.

how do you know what you need like how do i know if i need a harness or a new set of foglights??? i dont really weant to spend money on a harness if the foglights are the problem or vise versa.
