honda ems h.i.d kit

hello. I recently purchased the HondaEMS 8000k HID kit. I am starting to get worried now that I see all these posts about reflector housing blinding other drivers I really have no idea in the world of wiring and lighting. The owner before me just straight plugged them up and was fine, I figured I could do the same but I am seeing some "TYC" retrofits that look amazing and I want to explore into something like that as well using my HID kit. Any suggestions?

As long as you have the ballasts you can interchange the bulbs for whatever size you need for fitment... but I dont really see why you would want to pay as much as you will just to do a retrofit... Just plug in your HID kit and see how you do with them and eventually look into the retrofit option. One thing though is the 8k HIDs are horribly blue, I absolutely hated them for the 3 weeks I had them until I swapped them for 6k... this is 8k in my civic next to 6k in my benz... They look cool but they got old FAST!!!

If you could find an aftermarket set of projector headlights for a good price, 100 bucks or so, and then some HID projector lenses, invest several hours and you got yourself a retrofit. But you can plug them in now, they will glare and blind everyone. I'd suggest leaving them in only temp.
