HID install question

hello every1. im sure this question has come up before in these forums, but i couldn't find it using search. anyways here it goes. im trying to install an HID plug and play kit using my oem lights. where is the best place to mount the ballasts? (i.e. is there room underneath the headlights, or do you simply mount it in the engine bay)

if in the engine bay where is the best place to mount it, if someone has had experience doing this install any help would be greatly appreciated, as well if any1 has pictures of the ballast install that would be great

lastly, if there is space underneath the headlights, can you use double sided 3m tape to mount them?

thanks in advance

Re: HID install question

Cause that looks identical to the kit I got off here except I never got the relay harness to power up the ballasts. And from what I can tell you didn't either? Am i wrong, is there a different way to install them cause when I hooked what seem to be everything up into its correct plug ins nothing happened. I took it to a local shop and they said I needed a relay harness?

Re: HID install question

my low beam ballasts just sit in the engine bay. one between the battery and the relay box, the other just behind the driver headlight. not really mounted, just sitting there held in place with zip ties. now my fog light ballasts are both behind the bumper and they're bolted to the car.

Re: HID install question

^thanks for the info.. I'm doing the install this weekend, got the harness in the mail.. It's the one that draws power from the battery directly.. is that the best way to draw the power?
