WANT HIDs? VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!
If you've ever thought about getting HIDs for your halogen lamps, this is a very important read. READ THIS ARTICLE, and save your money! No, really, it's a very good read!
It will tell you exactly why you will never get the performance of a BMW's HIDs on your Civic, or any halogen headlamp for that matter.

lol I run d2r bulbs in my OEM housings, and have for the past few years. It's much brighter than halogen no matter what that article tells ya..
"This article will never go out of date, because the problems with HID kits are conceptual problems, not problems of implementation. Therefore, they cannot be overcome by additional research and development, any more than someone could develop a way for you to put on somebody else's eyeglasses and see correctly."
Blah, it's a safety issue for other drivers mostly. The problem is that the HID bulbs give off much more light and halogen housings aren't setup to properly output that light in a safe fashion. This guy can talk all day about them being illegal, which they are, but I , in no way, agree with him on the basis that they can put out less light and thats NOT conceptual, it's pure implementation

Have you seen a retrofit in person compared to a stock halogen reflectors? There's no need for name calling, but if you're going to solely fall back on this article and have no basis on personal experience, then you have no grounds to call someone an idiot.
Besides, if you understood what "retrofit" meant in terms of the modding world, you'd understand that "retrofitting" wasn't just slapping an HID kit into our stock headlights.
So as I said, retrofit properly. QED.

But just putting an HID bulb where a halogen one belongs is bad news all around.
