First off i have the xtec 6k kit, in a 03 lx. so far i have burnt 1 ballast out, how i have no idea, just stoped working. I am wondering if the relays someplace need to be beefed up. (this has all been in less than 12 months)
here is what happend when the first ballast blew, the drivers side light would fire shortly after the passenger (like half a sec), then the lights would go through the warm up and be fine, then if i shut them down and went to fire them back after a hour or even a few hours, the driver side would not fire at all! eventually the ballast just didnt fire at all, and made a wired hmmm sound (4 months or so after installed). i replaced the bad ballast and all was fine.
well now i have the problem with the same light, this time on the new ballast, the lights will fire at the same time, then after the warm up, the drivers side (side with new ballast) will be more of a yellow color temp, looking like a normal halogen globe.
I have checked all the wiring, no melted point, overly hot area, no bad connections, ballast never gets wet, niether do the globes....
I am completly baffled on this one, the worst part is it does not do it 100% of the time, but more often then not. The only thing i can think of is the realys. Dont think its the globe because during warm up they are the same color temp, then after a min or so the globe will fade down the K. scale. the light is still bright, just the wrong color temp.
when it come to upgrading the relays or even finding them in the civic im lost, never had to **** with them, so if someone could give me thier two cents, and let me know how to find the relay, and what to upgrade to- or at least the size in thier now, that would be great, and very apreciated.
thanks in advance!

Check if reversing the problem side's power wire polarity will fix it. HID ballasts are very sensitive to DC polarity as compared to regular light bulb. Reversing the polarity will make lots of problems from flashing to non-firing of the ballast..
One relay should provide power to fire up both ballast, so I don't see a problem here unless you are dealing with 2 relays, then disconnect the input of the ballast and see if it "clicks" when you turn on the light.
