if they are real side markers, they should light up when the parking lights are on, and then flash when the blinkers are on. if they dont do that, buy new ones

signal only is the best imo. there is a 3rd option for doing both, but they will flash alternately.

sidemarker has two wires. connect one to the green signal wire, and the other to red parking light wire (no ground).

so the green signal wire is ground when there is no signaling? Is the accesory wire behind HU (switched 12+) like that too (ground when no power), if so, i wouldn't have needed a relay for my flashing alarm led.

yea it acts like a false ground. its a ground when signal is off and not when signal is used.

no its a second remote power turn-on. The deck has a main power and ground to the battery, but it wont turn on the deck until the ignition is also juiced up. Its like an ON switch then once the deck is operating, it feeds off the main power and ground wires.

hehehehe, i know that, i know what the ignition wire does and what it is for. My question is, when the ignition is off, is that wire ground?

it's cause, when i installed my flashing led to come on when car is off, and to turn off when car is on, i used a relay, but in the package instructions, it said that one of the ground wires had to be on the ignition wire. and if the ignition wire is ground when car is of, i wouldn't need a relay. i'll check it when i install my new HU in a week, just wanted to know if somebody knew for sure

ya, i checked the lighter outlet + wire, and it is ground when the car is off, so i'm thinking that the ignition wire in back of the hu is the same.
