fog light question.

So I am thinking of hard wiring my ebay "OEM" fogs since they came with a mess of plugs that dont make any sense. Can I wire my fog lights using the wire to the 12v socket in the dash?

haha NO! you run 55w through that and your car will be on fire. If you hardwire em you need to build a wire harness with relays and then you can tap it to any activation wire. lemme know if you need info on how to build one.

Hey, yes I would definately like info and then see where I can go from there. It feels kinda funny to have them mounted and not working.

So finally after getting off early I have the time to troubleshoot these bad boys and finally got them working. Thanks gear that link you sent me made me understand the simplicity of relays... just have to think of it as a triggered switch almost. Either way after using a combination of wires and plugs that came with the set and my own, and omitting the damn crappy switch, I got them to turn on automatically when I turn on my parking lights and headlights. Cool deal. All it cost me 35 bucks, some time, and some frustration. You'd think that since I deal with electricity everyday I would have got it sooner...
