Which bulb H1 for tyc projector?
I need help deciding which bulb type to get. I want as much light as possible but not those coated bulbs. My first thought was the vision plus (bulb of the year), but it seems the H1 version has a blue tip coating? then there is the all clear silverstar, and the full coated cool blue. Does anyone know if the bulb color will be visible in the housing? I don't want any reflection, which is leading me to pick the silverstar now.

it shouldnt be visible when the lights are off (in the projector). afaik, it will be either clear or black. depends on the angle you are looking at the lights from.
my opinion is that you shouldn't waste your time with halogen, gearbox. lol. really, though, i would go with silverstar.

Gearbox
Can you take before and after photo shots.
I have the tyc's and want a brighter light as well
Hee is the silverstar H1 package (light rated at 4000K):

i have silverstars and love them! best i have had even better then MTEC. As far as seeing blue, it wont happen, i have cleaned my lenses and you cant see it at all. you just see the lense itself which is sometimes white and clear, just depends on the angle you look at from. but highly recommend the silverstars.

okay well i've decided on the clear osram silverstar. i don't want any ricer crap like the sylvanias that only last a year or less. I will post shots once everything is installed! Hmm now I gotta think whether I wanna change the hi beam too. prolly not since I never use em. Also i'll be sure to take before after shots as well as b/a in the same spot to compare projector to halogen. In the long run I'm planning to retrofit the tyc with hid but just don't have the cash now.

damn well i guess i'm gonna get 4 H1 bulbs. might as well do the hi beams.
and...hehe look what i found for the signal
its much less ricey compared to those stupid silverstar corners with tons of blue coating. These have a very small dusting of blue/silver. check out how they look under light and under shade. its not at all like those chrome coated ones that barely light up, and its not as rice as the silverstar, but better than stock orange. check it out! will prolly need to paint over the blue base tho before installing.

i ended up going with osram silverstar. only place is ebay since they come from europe. just buy from someone with high feedback. I bought two sets but later realized i couldn't change the hi beam without removing the housings again (heck no!) so i'm just keepin em here to replace the lows when they burn out. I never use hi beam so no biggie.

the high beam socket is pretty inaccessible from the engine bay...
gearbox, thanks. i was trying to find other retailers besides ebay...ebay was a last resort.
