alot of others had the problem its something with the kit thats wrong. If it bothers you, its just a bulb you can twist off and take out from the back of the cluster.

the car is sensing that the high beam filament has failed and is warning you to fix it. that's my guess...

yes when there is a short to ground or a short circuit or an open circuit to the highbeams the car sees that as something has gone wrong so it puts a little glow on the highbeam light...my eclipse did the same thing when i installed projectors on it cuz the harness on the car is was screwed up...so i fixed it

I dont think thats why its on. I am pretty sure that when the highbeams are on, it completes the full high beam circuit which turns on the light indicating the high beams are on, when the low beams are on, the high beam circuit is open and the light is off. I may be wrong, but looking at the headlight circuit that what is seems. But then again, when you have HIDs, the circuit may be hooked up where the high beam circuit has a complete path to ground thus turning on the light.

correct^^. if you only have lowbeams, why does it matter if you have the light? Just pull out the bulb and be done with it.

Well, On my kit if I hit the high beams my HID's shut off, luckily my kit didnt spark the high beam light thing but i would have been pissed if it did. If you took out the light your HID's could be off w/o you knowing (then again you dont run your HID's during the day anyways, and you'll probably notice at night)
