i want true projectors....need help
alright after alot of thinking ive finally figured out what i want to do (if its possible) I have HID now and would really really love to have projectors. BUT, i know the projector isnt much in certain projector lighting. Also, i would have to change bulbs (not really down for spending more money then i have to on it) I was actually thinking about trying to find some old celica projectors and putting those in there. Thats possible right? i thought ive read that on other posts. So really, my main question is if i get those projectors even though they take an 9003 (i believe) do i have to use that size of a bulb or can i use just the projector? Hopefully this is possible and has anyone done this before with a set of celica projectors?
Thanks
Thanks
You will ONLY get good light output with a HID specific projector (Hella, Valeo, Bosch, Stanley). These projectors are made for the light dispersion of a HID bulb. You can find celica projectors that are HID specific (was an option for certain years). These may be hard to find because of the low volume that the celica sold.
Go to hidplanet.com and they have a sale for hella ballasts, bosch projectors, D2S bulbs for $360. And these are brand new parts.
Good luck.

dude...try doing some research first, then asking questions.
but (sheesh i can't believe i'm doing this) celicas all came with projectors. a select few came with HID specific projectors. in most cases, however, any celica projector you find will be from a halogen celica and those are not designed to take a d2s bulb.

ok i guess im not getting my point across very well. I have done research on it but what i cant seem to find out is if i could take the celica projectors (halogen) and use those with the HIDs that would fit. It seems to me that its doing the same thing as what we do with HIDs when we have stock, just with a projector. im not trying to waste anyones time by not searching because i have. i think i might have just gotten myself a little confused and trying to clear things up.
