1: Crap
2: That's a cleared, stock headlight. Read up on the DIYs
3: That's a cleared, blacked out, stock headlight. Read up on the DIYs
4: Decent, but still crap IMO

It's your car so do what you want to do with it. You don't need 30,000 members telling you what to do your property, right?

^^^ exactly what he said! and i always say to people in their ride, if ur asking what we think................. then my opinion, DIY ur own headlights.... but keep the amber piece in cough cough.

but honestly do whatever u like, and if u do something that u like and its from someone elses ride, if u like it all it means is the both of u have the same taste... u'll find out taht some people are like, That was my idea u took it from me, blah blah, dont get cought up in that, do ur thing and be happy with that.

I love mine being 100% clear, I would have never done it if Steve didn't help me, I still dunno how confident I'd be doing headlights on my own. (if you read the DIY you should be fine)

Use the NHBP paint. Get it put in a spray can, get some clear coat, and go at it. Thats what i did. It looks sweet cause it matches perfectly, blue speks and all.

night hawk black pearl (your paint color) = NHBP

purchase a can of black spray paint and follow the DIY.

clear coat is a separate paint that goes on top of the paint once it dries completely.

Well my car i the nighthawk black pearl paint (nhbp). I got automotive paint at a paint supply and they put it in an aerosol can for me. Cost like 13 bucks and one can was plenty. I taped off the parts i wanted to leave chrome with painters masking tape(wont leave residue or hurt the chrome), then lightly sanded the rest so that the paint would hold. I cleaned it really well with a degreaser, and let it dry completely. I then sprayed light overlapping coats in every direction to get even coverage (being that it was real car paint, i waited about 15-20 minutes between coats.) After i was happy with the coverage, then i sprayed about 3 layers of clear coat over the black (clear coat can be purchased in a spray can at the same place as the auto paint.) The paint wont shine like the rest of the car without the clear coat. Then let i let it dry overnight because i didnt wanna mess up all the work with smudged paint. Put it back together and back on the car. I think that answered all your questions, if you got anymore just ask or PM me.

I forgot to mention that you will need a plastic primer if your going the same route as i did. The paint wont stick otherwise.

it depends on the car, but i would keep stock lights. Some look better with amber, some black out, some clear. Its up to you.

if the car is black, and you want to stick to a black theme get some black ones off of ebay. or clear the stock ones to do a black and white thing. my coupe is silver. fronts will be black, so will back lights. match the dark tint. have fun.

Well legally your turn signals have to light up amber. I just bought some of the chrome bulbs that light up amber. Alot of people say that they arent any good, but i love them. They look really good at night, give a nice dark amber color. Not too bright during the day but they do the job. I got these and havent had any problems and during the day i dont get that orange reflection in the housing. http://www.cardomain.com/item/PILXC7443A We have the same problem with rain down here in Oklahoma. I was off work yesterday and was gonna go crazy detailing and cleaning my car, but it was supposed to rain today, so i decided to wait. Guess what, no rain today, and none planned for over a week.

You got AOL? IM me, isthatcorn. There are instructions in the owners manual about how to change all of the bulbs. How blue do you want the lights to be? i have the Sylvania Silverstars and they look very white at night. HID lights are High Intensity Discharge. You can buy an aftermarket kit, Impulse sells them (he is a member on here), but they would cost you a few hundred bucks. LED are Light Emitting Diodes like the one that blinks on car alarms and such. They are intended to be headlights but can be used for parking light, taillights, and turn signals. The bulbs i linked you to are dual filament so they have one that just comes on for the light and one that will blink, just like the stock bulbs. LED bulbs will blink very quickly compared to halogen bulbs.
