How does this happen?
ok, so im following my friend last night and out of nowhere he calls me and said my light went out. (i couldnt tell because it was just starting to get dark) Well, i look at it and what do i see? A bunch of glass from my bulb. I know they say a finger print will make the bulb break but ive had them in for over a year. Hallogens i know put off heat but HIDs dont (or so i was always told). So im just wondering, what would make a bulb randomly break like that?

HIDs DO put out heat. what are you talking about? Anything that moves usually will generate heat. HIDs actually run at around 450*F, but it's all centered in the salt chamber.
and yeah, why are you talking about touching the bulb?

I was talking about the finger print mainly so that you guys wouldnt think of it being a finger print that caused it. I know i didnt touch the bulb. The whole side of the bulb is shattered open. Im just wondering what could have caused something like that?
Eventually ill make sense....

theres no name on the box. It just has stuff about the HIDs all over the box along with facts and stuff. The bulbs worked very well for me and i wouldnt mind by just one. But not a set. i put my hallogens back in. THEY SUCK. the HID bulb was in pieces.
